A Jewish Synagogue was destroyed this week...the same week in which we remember the holocaust.
This time the synagogue was destroyed by Jewish Defense forces of the police and the IDF in one of the first acts that the Prime Minister of Israel approved since his landslide election.
The Hazan David snagogue was built to honor Rabbi HaCohen who was killed by terrorists at the entrance to Kiriat Arba. The Synagogue was built across the street from the tragedy on land belonging to local arabs.
The local Arab landowners approved of building this Synagogue and even physically opposed, together with their Jewish Neighbors, it's destruction. A meeting was called in the presence of Israeli and IDF authorities to verify this joint desire to maintain the Synagogue as a symbol of peace and coexistence. And yet, this week...the week in which we remember the holocaust and all the destroyed Jewish communities and the life centered around the Shul, we see yet another Synagogue destroyed...but by our own people...on this week of all weeks...by the PM we elected as his first act as Prime Minister:
